Skills Development Activity: Productive Use of Summer Panel

• A panel of college students and young professionals will be assembled, with the aim of discussing what makes for a productive use of high school summers.

• Students will be given the opportunity to hear each panelist talk about this experience using his time well over the summer, as well as have the chance to ask the panelist for advice on how to structure their summers productively.

Virtue Talk: Self-Discipline

Students will learn to:

• Develop self-discipline by building habits that support their personal, academic, and future career goals.

• Learn strategies to overcome distractions, procrastination, and unhealthy habits through intentional daily choices.

• Understand how self-discipline strengthens character, responsibility, and consideration for others.

• Build consistent routines that promote personal growth, resilience, and success in all areas of life.
