may: reliability of scripture

The goal of this class is to explore whether or not scripture is a historically reliable document. Does it describe real events or is it a fable with good life lessons? We explore how scripture’s reliability compares to other historical documents at the time and what evidence is available from the historical record alone. We discuss the assumptions of that lead to rationalist scholars’ doubt that scripture is reliable. This final class equips students to confidently discuss a crucial source for the Christian world view that is also supported by sound reason and human experience.
